For the Chicken
- ¾ cup cornstarch remove 1½ tsp for sauce
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds plus more for garnish
- 1½ lbs chicken breast cut into chunks
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp sesame oil
For the Sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 7 garlic cloves minced
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- ½ cup water
- ⅓ cup honey
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp grated white onion
- 1 tbsp gochujang or red chili paste
- 2 green onions minced
Preheat air fryer to 400ºF. Spray basket.
Mix cornstarch coating. Beat eggs.
Toss chicken in egg, then coat in cornstarch mixture.
Air fry 10 minutes, flip, and cook 6 more.
Sauté garlic in sesame oil. Add sauce ingredients. Simmer 5 minutes.
Mix reserved cornstarch with sauce and stir in to thicken.
