Flaky puff pastry wrapped around a warm, spiced apple filling makes these buns a delightful treat. Drizzled with honey for extra sweetness, they’re perfect fresh out of the oven.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Pirus apples diced
  • 500 g Puff pastry yeast-based, butter-infused
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • Honey Floral acacia, to taste
  • 5 tablespoons Demerara cane sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Corn starch slightly less
  • 1 Egg yolk for brushing

Instructions
 

  • Combine diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon in a saucepan; simmer until sugar melts.
  • Stir in cornstarch dissolved in water; cook until thickened. Let cool.
  • Roll out pastry and cut into circles.
  • Place filling in center, top with another round, and seal edges.
  • Brush tops with egg yolk, sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake at 175°C (convection) or 180°C (non-convection) for 15–20 minutes until golden.

Notes

  • Apple Choice: You can substitute Pirus apples with your favorite variety, but a tart apple like Granny Smith works best for balance.
  • Crispiness: For an even crispier finish, consider baking them slightly longer.
