Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups water divided: 4 for tea, 2 for cherry infusion
  • 4 black tea bags regular or decaf
  • 2 cups fresh cherries pitted and halved
  • 0.25 –0.5 cup sugar or honey adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Fresh cherries optional, for garnish
  • Lemon slices optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Wash and pit cherries. Cut in half.
  • Bring 4 cups water to a simmer, remove from heat, and steep tea bags for 5–7 minutes.
  • Discard tea bags.
  • In another saucepan, combine cherries, 2 cups water, and sweetener.
  • Simmer 10–15 minutes.
  • Strain cherry mixture into a pitcher, pressing fruit to extract juice.
  • Add brewed tea and lemon juice to pitcher. Stir.

Notes

  • Sweetness: Adjust the sweetness of your iced tea by adding more or less sugar/honey according to your taste preference.
  • Infusion Time: If you prefer a stronger cherry flavor, let the cherry mixture simmer a little longer to intensify the flavor.
