Dry Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 Tbsp grated orange zest plus more for glaze
- 1/2 cup 1 stick cold butter, cut into chunks
Wet Ingredients:
- 1 large egg lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup heavy cream + 1 Tbsp for brushing
- 3/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1 Tbsp raw sugar optional for topping
Glaze:
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and zest.
Cut in cold butter until pea-sized crumbs form.
Stir in cranberries. Make a well in the center.
Whisk egg with cream. Pour into dry mix and stir just until moistened.
