Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound asparagus ends trimmed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 clove garlic finely minced (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix oil, garlic (optional), salt, and pepper.
  • Add asparagus and toss to coat.
  • Arrange asparagus in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 6–9 minutes, shaking basket halfway through.
  • Serve with extra salt and pepper, to taste.

Notes

  • Thicker asparagus spears may need up to 9 minutes, while thinner ones cook faster.
  • No garlic? Try a sprinkle of garlic powder or lemon zest before serving.
  • Works great with parmesan or red pepper flakes sprinkled on after cooking.
