For the Crust:
- 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
For the Filling:
- 1 ¼ pounds ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 ¼ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ⅓ cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
- ⅔ cup sliced mushrooms
- ⅔ cup sliced green bell peppers or jalapeños
- Pepperoni slices
Toppings:
- ½ cup extra shredded mozzarella cheese
- Additional pepperoni slices and vegetables for garnish
In a small bowl, stir together warm water and yeast.

In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, then stir until a dough forms.
