- 3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
- 2 large garlic cloves
- 1/4 cup lemon juice from 2 lemons
- 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Wash and dry basil leaves thoroughly.
In a food processor, combine basil, parmesan, pine nuts, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
Scrape down the bowl if needed.
