Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves packed
  • 3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pine nuts
  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice from 2 lemons
  • 1/2 tsp salt or to taste
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Wash and dry basil leaves thoroughly.
  • In a food processor, combine basil, parmesan, pine nuts, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Scrape down the bowl if needed.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning if desired.
  • Use immediately or store as directed.
