Ingredients
  

  • 3 lb baby back ribs or pork loin ribs
  • 6 cups apple juice
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp liquid smoke optional
  • 1 tbsp seasoning salt Johnny’s or Lawry’s
  • 2 tbsp BBQ dry rub
  • 2/3 cup sweet BBQ sauce divided

Instructions
 

  • Pat ribs dry. Rub seasoning salt and BBQ dry rub on both sides.
  • In Instant Pot, combine apple juice, vinegar, liquid smoke, and 1/3 cup BBQ sauce.
  • Coil ribs inside with bone-side inward. Cook on high pressure for 25 minutes.
  • Natural release for 10 minutes, then quick release.
  • Transfer to baking sheet. Brush with remaining BBQ sauce and broil 4–5 minutes.

Notes

No Broiler? You can also finish the ribs on a grill over high heat for 2–3 minutes per side to char the glaze.
BBQ Sauce Swap: Use your favorite BBQ sauce—honey BBQ, spicy chipotle, or smoky bourbon all work well.
Liquid Smoke: Adds authentic BBQ flavor without the smoker. Just a little goes a long way!
Make Ahead: Cook ribs in advance and refrigerate. Reheat under the broiler before serving.
