Slow Cooker BBQ Ribs

- 3 pounds baby back pork ribs also called pork loin back ribs
- ½ yellow onion sliced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- ½ cup water
- About 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
Dry Rub:
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 2 teaspoons Kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs using a knife to loosen and peel it off completely.
Pat ribs dry.
Mix the dry rub ingredients and apply generously to both sides of the ribs.
Place ribs in a large slow cooker.
Add onions, garlic, and water to the center. Cover tightly.
Cook on LOW for 6 hours (6.5 hours for larger racks) until tender but not falling apart.
Carefully transfer ribs to a sheet pan.
