Strawberry Scone Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp fine sea salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter 8 Tbsp, chilled and diced
- 1 cup chopped fresh strawberries
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup heavy whipping cream chilled
- 1 Tbsp milk for brushing
- ½ Tbsp coarse sugar for topping
Glaze Ingredients:
- ⅔ cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tbsp milk
Preheat oven to 400°F. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
Cut in butter until crumbly. Fold in strawberries.
Whisk egg with cream and add to flour mix.
Stir until just combined.
Shape dough into a circle on floured parchment.
Cut into 12 wedges and space slightly.
