Ingredients
  

Cake Layer:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 12 Tbsp unsalted butter softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sour cream

Strawberry Layer:

  • 2 lbs fresh strawberries diced
  • 3 1/2 Tbsp granulated sugar

Cream Layer:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 6 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare baking sheet.
  • Whisk dry ingredients. Cream butter, sugar, and zest. Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Alternate flour mixture and sour cream until just combined.
  • Spread in pan and bake 20–24 min. Cool and cut 24 rounds.
